BÜRP is a high quality extruded aluminium enclosure that holds your favourite RISC OS (or Linux if you prefer) board, such as the Raspberry Pi,
Wandboard Quad (ARMx6), IGEPv5 or Beagleboard. A Pandaboard ES can fit, but only if the serial port is safely de-soldered and removed.
With enough room inside for the board itself - and in the case of the ARMx6 and IGEPv5, the hard disc too - the BURP enables all cables and
connections to come out in the same direction, tidying the desk area.
In addition, being made of hardwearing aluminium, BÜRP is portable and can withstand some of the bumps and knocks that would damage other
cases.
BÜRP comes in three sizes. The standard size has a length of 160mm from end to end, the extended version is 220mm, while the BÜRP-X is a neat,
160mm sqare enclosure. The Raspberry Pi, Beagleboard and ARMX6 fit nicely in the standard size, whilst we recommend the BÜRP-X version for
the IGEPv5, Pandaboard and the Wandboard Quad (ARMx6) with internal USB hub, just to make the cables fit more comfortably.
Not everyone wants the same colour case for each board they own, so BÜRP has four colours to choose from. You may wish to put your Raspberry
Pi in a Rapberry red case, your ARMx6 in an electric blue case, your IGEPv5 in a silver case and your Beagleboard in a black case. Obviously you
can choose your own colour to fit your own needs, but at least you can make each board easily identifiable.
Please note that cables for the universal front plate are not supplied as the requirements for each board are different. We include a list of appropriate
cables with each board so that you can purchase the cables suitable for your board. However, if you tell us which board you intend to use, we can
supply a suitable cable pack at additional cost. However, we think the board-specific end plates make for a neater job!
